Background

Ambient Biosciences is a life sciences company offering biomolecule stabilization products and services. Their mission is to eliminate cold chain reliance and improve global health equity through the use of innovative biomolecule stabilization technology, which allows ambient transportation and storage of a wide range of biomolecules.

Campaign Objectives

Ambient Biosciences, formerly known as Upkara, rebranded to better reflect their mission to make biotechnology innovation more accessible by enabling the transportation and storage of biomolecules at ambient temperatures. They knew that they wanted new branding to align with ambient temperatures, using colors and design elements that convey warmth to reflect the shift away from conventional cold storage and lyophilization. They turned to Samba Scientific’s design team to explore new directions and create a fun, vibrant new identity that would bring their ideas to life. 

Samba Approach

  • Create a new logomark, brandmark, and brand guidelines using a combination of vibrant colors, unique gradient elements, and organic shapes to invoke warmth and approachability. 
  • Draft taglines and campaign themes to draw attention and attract new leads across platforms 
  • Refresh and relaunch the existing website on the new domain with new branding, while also redirecting the old domain to introduce old contacts to their new identity 
  • Promote the rebrand via social platforms, email blasts, and Google ads campaigns with eye-catching graphics and memorable taglines 

Campaign Results

Samba Scientific provided Ambient Biosciences with a transformative new logo and brand guide, which encompassed a bold color palette and branding elements used to convey energy and warmth in a modern way to appeal to their audience’s value of innovation and boldness while reflecting their friendly, approachable style of partnership. The transformation of the website drew an increased number of visitors in and encouraged longer engagement times than the previous website, and social posts announcing the rebrand led to a significant uptick in LinkedIn followers and interactions. Paid ads also saw over 10,000 impressions in the first two months. They continue to see valuable leads download assets on their website as their audience expands and brand recognition grows.
