LevGo®, Inc develops, manufactures and distributes smartTools for everyday laboratory use. Their products, including weighboats, spatulas, funnels and more, are available across the globe through their many distributors such as Fisher Scientific, VWR International and Sigma Aldrich.
The LevGo team came to us with a unique request to drastically increase brand recognition in the United States for their smartSpatulas®, a line of versatile and disposable lab spatulas for transferring, handling, and manipulating various chemicals and biological materials. A unique characteristic of the LevGo smartSpatulas is that there is a V-shape at the base of the scooper which serves no function but does indicate that it is a LevGo spatula.
Samba’s approach was first to create a unique and memorable smartSpatula character that would be the focal point across all assets. This was accompanied with the primary message “Look for the V at the neck!” since the goal of the campaigns was to associate the V-shaped neck with the LevGo brand. Then we built a series of campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, and various third-party ads platforms including Science, Genome Web, American Society for Microbiology and more. Finally, we have continued to monitor and optimize these campaigns since they were first initiated in December 2023.
Since introducing our new spatula character, with their message “Look for the V at the neck!”, to the world in December 2023, the ads have seen over 16 million impressions and had nearly 60,000 clicks that lead to the smartSpatula landing page that Samba created. LinkedIn and Google audiences have been optimized over this time to serve ads only to ideal customers who are potential users of the smartSpatula. We have continued to use new third-party ad platforms to expand the reach and to identify more target customers. This campaign will run through the end of 2024 and we’re excited to see where our character shows up next!
