PLANO, Texas., May. 15, 2025 /ntxbio.com/ — Governor Greg Abbott today revealed that NTxBio will establish a biomanufacturing facility in Plano, delivering over 170 new jobs and more than $31 million in capital investment to Texas. The State of Texas strengthens this expansion through a Texas Enterprise Fund grant of $1,479,000, with Abbott stating: “This $31 million investment by NTx establishing a biomanufacturing facility in Plano will create over 170 new, good-paying jobs for Texans in our skilled and growing life sciences workforce.” The project reinforces Texas’ position as “the epicenter for groundbreaking, life-saving medical research and home to thousands of biotech and life science firms.”
This expansion accelerates NTx’s capacity to meet growing demand for pharmaceutical-grade raw materials used in RNA and protein therapeutics development. The 2015-founded company leverages “cutting-edge biomanufacturing instruments that use domestically produced raw materials to advance treatments for cancer and rare diseases while bringing manufacturing and jobs back to the U.S.,” according to President and CEO Dr. Jamie Coffin. Drawing from Texas’ “booming biotech community and incredible talent pool in biological and chemical engineering,” the Plano facility complements NTx’s R&D operations in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, positioning the company to enhance next-generation biomanufacturing solutions for patients nationwide.
